Ah, honestly speaking this is unexpected coming from Acer. Two 14 inch touchscreen running on Windows 7 Home Premium. What more could go wrong with that? No more traditional keyboard and has a mouse setup in favor of an exclusive touch-based interface.

Bundled with a multitouch point technology, Iconia allows you to customize the commands and gesture on the screen. For example, place one palm on the keyboard brings up Acer Ring, place both hands the bottom screen brings up a full keyboard. These are pre-installed commands on the device.

Thumbs up for on the collaboration with Microsoft to build this iconic or 'iconia' hybrid tablet-notebook.It has many more features that you can find out on the video link below. Also, Acer Iconia is available since 16th January this year in UK and a killer price tag of £ 1,500 or RM6000? Unbelievable but yet again, I suppose it's the first of it's kind. Very futuristic.

Now what is this funny looking object? Care to take a guess? Yes it's a mouse! This mouse over here has won the CES Design and Engineering Program Computer Peripherals Award of 2011. Hand's down on the award. They deserve it. But why?



It all begins when the founder of Swiftpoint, Grant Odgers feels that touchpads are very inaccurate and inefficient substitutes for a mouse. So he begin to work on the concept for a small, portable mouse that can be used on your laptop surface.

And finally in the year 2008 in CeBIT, the world largest expo, the company introduced two revolutionary mice concept designs, "Swiftpoint Slider" and Swiftpoint Triped".


The Swiftpoint Mouse is small and portable and feels very natural to use due to its pen-like grip. Requiring only the palmrest beside the laptop touchpad to operate, the Swiftpoint Mouse provides for laptop computer users freedom without compromising the freedom to use their laptop to work and play, whenever and wherever they wish, while still maintaining the functionality and performance they want from a mouse.

Well basically, this device can communicate in the 2.4 GHz band. A connection via local wireless connection allows multiple Nintendo 3DS users to communicate and play together. Systems also can connect to LAN access points to access the Internet and allow people to enjoy games with others. Nintendo 3DS hardware is designed so that even when not in use, it can automatically exchange data with other Nintendo 3DS systems or receive data via the Internet while in sleep mode.

Aside from the stated specs, there lies a feature which enables users to adjust the level of 3D effect, the 3D Depth Slider to adjust level of 3D effect. It can be scaled back, adjusted to the liking of the users and even turned off, partly because some people might get dizzy. And surprisingly enough, it also comes with a telescoping stylus that is approximately 4 inches when fully extended.

Effects of gaming in 3DS

3D gaming on Nintendo 3DS is somewhat questionable because not many games are in 3D currently but there will be. The impact in playability has a significant 3D effect. For example, In the racing game genre, for instance, the theory is that having depth perception should have a clear impact on the way in which you play, allowing your eyes to pick up more visual clues about where exactly you should be breaking and when.
"A tech demo of Mario Kart, for instance, showed that the previously haphazard throwing of a banana to force your opponent into a skid was helped immensely by a perception of the distance between cars."

Conclusion

Well I guess I'm impressed of Nintendo 3DS and the technology behind it. As long as more major games make it into Nintendo 3DS, I don't see how it's not a value buy, especially when the famed Super Street Fighter IV in 3D is on it's way.

For just a moment, I thought this was Wall-E. Only to find out this is a Sony Double Full HD 3D Camcorder, HDR-TD10. Need a second to catch your breath? Yes! This is a 3D Camcorder. And I thought HD video capturing was new but this is entirely another level.

Recently unveil in Las Vegas in International CES(Consumer Electronics Show) 2011, Sony proudly presents this double full HD 3D consumer camera, available in April for the price of USD$1500.


Sony HDR-TD10 Features

This 'Wall-e"-like camera is has a built-in Sony G dual lenses system to handle high end 3D photography featuring the Emor R Cmos sensor that improves low light performance of the camcorder.

As mentioned, this camcorder has an intergrated dual recording system that helps users to capture a full HD 3D content (Resolution: 1920 x 1080P). This 3D content then can be streamed via the built-in HDMI port to 3D capable HDTVs, like the previous blog post on Mistubishi 92 inch 3D Home Cinema.

What amazed me the most is that 3D images shot can be reviewed without the aid of 3D eyewear on the touch sensitive 3.5 inch Xtra Fine LCD display of the camcorder. How cool is that?!
Sony HDR-TD10 offers 10x optical zoom for filming distant subjects. Image blurring due to camera jerks is prevented by the Optical Steady Shot image stabilization technology with Active Mode. The intelligent auto or iAuto mode automatically selects the best settings for producing the best quality images.

The intelligent technology loaded in iAuto detects the surrounding environments and continuously adjusts the camcorder’s settings to produce clear and vibrant video footage.

Everything sounds good until now, the battery life! In 3D mode, the battery life could only support 20 minutes of 3D recording on a single charge! Oh well, I guess this is the Achilles's heel of Sony HDR-TD10.

To those of you on the lookout for 3D TV.. this is one you cannot miss, considering the fact you have deep pockets.

Mitsubishi adds up a 92-inch monstrous 3D home-cinema TV to it's huge line up of giant TVs ranging from 60-inch to 82-inch but this one is just top all of it and is hard to not be amazed of.

The 92-inch 3D Home Cinema TV is packed with a comprehensive list of features including:

Well, those are mouth-watering specifications that was laid up by Mitsubishi. What caught my attention was the 3D glasses is not included which is a pair of active-shutter glasses to watch your 3D TV in 3D. Instead, you need to pay an additional $399 for a starter kit that includes two pairs of glasses.

According to the Journal, this set will cost between $5,000 and $6,000. Not only we have to fork out that much of cash or credit, we also need a huge room to fit that into.

Fret not, if you're not ready to invest in the 3D just yet, this set also features StreamTV, which provides on-screen access to services such as VUDU, Twitter, Facebook, Pandora, and much more.

This, my friend, is a graphic processing unit (GPU) that's currently the fastest single-GPU graphics card you can purchase today for the price of Rm1300+. Packed with some 2150 million transistors and produced on a 40nm processor, ATI claimed the new HD5000 series is twice the performance more than it's previous generations HD4000. With more Direct X 11-capable games hitting the market, this 'baby' is the first to be able to support to desktops!

Now, a closer look into the features and design of this GPU.

There's only one word for all hardcore gamers out there, 'Get em!'. Early 2008, this Alienware 42-inch curved seamless display, a gaming monitor was first seen at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show).

The known specifications for this 'monster screen' is that it's a rear-projection DLP(Digital Light Processing) screen with OLED illumination that runs at a resolution of 2,880 x 900 pixels with a mind blowing response time less than .02-millisecond .


Well despite of all those awesome specs, the performance seemed flawless except the three faint vertical dividing lines. Sort of indicate 4 sub-panels combined together. Comments were positive about the level of immersion thanks to the panoramic display that encompasses your entire line of sight, including your peripheral vision. Almost all visual distractions are eliminated while playing games, giving you a superb gaming experience.

It's unofficial name, only known as "Alienware giant curved monitor" has no price yet, and no release date more specific than "second half of 2008. But until now, there hasn't been any news regarding this launching (right?). So much for the hyped.

This one the other hand,


Is available! You may think Alienware is the only 'giant curvy monitor' ever exist, but there are some that shy away from the limelight. NEC also joins in the hype with it's very own inch curved panaromic monitor! Announced on the 4th of June 2009 in Chicago, NEC Display Solutions of America launched it's 43" NEC CRV43 ultra-widescreen specialty desktop display. Mainly designed for usage in professional graphics, higher education, government, financial, command & control and home office.

Specifications of this monster is as stated below,
